Buddy Bennett-Lobo

  • Even though Buddy constantly shit in the bathtub and covered all of our furniture with a thick layer of grey hair, it was impossible to be irritated with him.

  • Buddy was a shy cat and spent the first half of his life hiding when anyone outside the family was in the house but over the years he got braver and braver and more and more people were privy to his loving personality. We were surprised a few years ago when a new person in the house exclaimed “What a friendly cat!” and we looked over to see Buddy boldly making a new pal. We were so proud of him.

  • When I was pregnant, Buddy would sleep on my big belly like he was balancing on a beach ball and purr and purr. When our kids were born he immediately welcomed them into our family (unlike another cat I won’t name).

  • He patiently tolerated toddlers when they would pull his tail, chase him or sometimes even attempt to “ride him like a little horse”. He meowed in empathy when the cried.

  • We will miss Buddy jumping up on the couch for a snuggle while we read or watched TV, his powerful purr, and his quiet, loyal companionship.

We will miss Buddy snuggling up to us while we watched TV or read, listening to his powerful purr, and all his quiet, loyal companionship.
